The designer Liana Cavallaro qualified in goldsmithery in 1980 and in languages in 1985. She abandoned her studies at the Dams University of Bologna, to re-locate to New York. On her return to Italy two years later she qualified in Design at the International Politechnic of Milan and, in 1990, began working with Ettore Sottsass jr.
In the year 2000 she opened Studio Dopo, also in Milan, where she works to this day applying herself to many different products, with constant attention, to their ease and practicality of use, avoiding every excess of form.
